I was in the lift just now. running some errands for my boss as usual. its rather crowded so i was in close proximity with everyone else. and this is what i saw.

The man beside me (wearing a pair of shades) looks peculiar. and when i started to observe him closely, i almost freaked out. The depression at his eye area is unusually deep. very much deeper than mine. Initially i thought its just parallex error on my part. but when i looked harder. i realise that its actually hollow. apparently theres no eyeball seated in that dent. hes blind. i bit my lower lip and inhaled. cuz' i have never been in such close propinquity with someone like this. or rather someone who looks like this. if i was alone in the lift, i might have thought tt he's bogey. he must be a burnt victim cuz' the skin on his face looks melted and scabrous. i tried hard to look calm. i know the last thing he wanted is someone freaking out by his outer shell. when the lift stopped at the 1st level, his son held him by the arm and led him out.

i felt 2 emotions within that 1 min. i freaked out. and next i saw beauty.
