Consider it a dream.
They almost took me away. I was lagging behind adult footsteps because i was fondling my new toy. Kids never fail to succumb to the temptations of another new toy. The forever murmurings of naggings to stay in close proximity to you was long left abandoned at the back of that very young mind. Never mind the fact that Thailand is not a safe country, nowhere is to be more accurate. Even at your very own backyard, undesirable happenings can or could have occurred. People say it's your own resposibility to be on guard, but how mature can a seven year old get? I forgot the exact word i should use to describe the emotion when i was lifted up by a stranger. Did i even scream my lungs out to call for help when he started running, in an opposite direction that you are heading. To a kid with limited vocabulary, he is just messy and dirty. I almost puked when my nose hit his nauseating collar in a rhythemic manner while he was running like a berserk fool. Passerby merely turned heads to look and carried on with their chatters and laughters, making it seem like such scenes were pleasantly normal in Thailand. It took you more than 10 seconds to realise that your daughter is not at your tail and another 2 minutes to claim her from the arms of a maniacal begger.
I will be on a family trip to Vietnam in 5 hours' time. and im glad i still look forward to it :)
