On the last day of 2009.
I spotted a red peeling itchy patch about the size of an elongated 20cent coin on my right upper cheek 2 days ago. After some investigation, I came to the following conclusions:
1) Someone burnt my face. So this is a burnt scar.
2) I left my facial mask on for too long. Upon sudden peeling, part of my skin tore.
3) A greedy insect of some form left a love bite on my cheek.
This morning, I could no longer take this burning curiosity to find the true cause of this red ugly patch. I decided to pay a visit to a clinic to unravel this mystery. After 5 minutes in that small suffocating space, I received a shocking news that this red patch is a result of fungal infection.
After some Wikipedia session, I found the name of my disease – Tinea Corporis (fungal infection of the face).
But fret not. The good news is that this patch can be nicely concealed with my fringe :)
